What is TNTrack?

TNTrack is a non-partisan public ledger of what the Tamil Nadu government promised and what it has done. Every entry on the ledger cites a primary source — a government order, an assembly record, a notification in the Official Gazette, or a verified news report — that you can open and read yourself.

Who runs it?

TNTrack is independent of any government body, political party, and corporate sponsor. It is maintained by a small team of journalists, civic technologists, and public-interest researchers. No political party has any editorial access or influence over what is published.

What does it track?

The 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, elected in May 2026. The TVK government's ten-guarantee manifesto released on 16 April 2026 contained 24 lines that were specific, measurable, and timebound enough to track. Those 24 are on the ledger. Rhetorical or unquantifiable lines were deliberately left out — ranking those would require editorial judgement that would compromise the ledger's impartiality.

What does it not do?

TNTrack does not editorialize, campaign, or express a political opinion. A "Pending" status is not a criticism. A "Fulfilled" status is not an endorsement. The ledger reports what happened and cites where you can verify it.
